Markets and Events June to November

This is part 2 of my big blog update!

July 2nd I helped prime the back of the NDCC for Mural Fest! We did have to end early as it started to rain quite heavily.

July 5th – 7th I attended StarBelly Jam Music Festival! This was made possible by Apollo Suns, the very kindly gave me a weekend pass and as a BIG thank you I mustered all my “people drawing skills” and drew each of the band members! Look them up on Spotify, I highly suggest seeing them live.

I also volunteered at Kaslo Jazz Festival but that wasn’t really anything related to my art endevours.

August 28th – September 3rd my Dad and I went to a VW van meet up in Oregon, USA called Descend 10. There was a makers market during the event so I took some items with me along with specifically designing 4 Van stickers , cards and colouring pages. Those items have since been uploaded to my website!

September 21st and 22nd Isaiah and I vended at the Passcreek Fall Fair! There was over 30 vendors, bunnies, turkeys, lawn mower races, fair rides, food and music! The only thing it really lacked was a stable wifi connection as many of us had to resort to cash only.

September 28th my friend and I were at the Saturday cottonwood falls farmers market! My friend 3D prints fidget toys. It was such a beautiful and sunny day! (October 5th was my last Nelson Farmers Market for the 2024 season).

October 11th on our way to Nakusp hot springs for Thanksgiving we stopped at the Silverton, BC General Store to restock a few items! https://silvertongeneralstore.ca/

October 17th – 20th I vended at Linden Lanes Pumpkin Fest! It was super cold and quite wet but I bought a brand new tent from one of my neighbours and made friends with the cows and ate many many crepes!

October 25th Isaiah and I drove to Nakusp after he was done work to be ready the next day to participate at the Basin Summit Mushroom Festival / Expo ! This event was really really fun, I made a few new connections and overall it was quite enjoyable! I also made “fungi flavoured” mystery bags with my art and Spellbound Crafts stickers! https://www.instagram.com/_spellboundcrafts_?igsh=Ymw4ZWttdzR3YTV4

October 27th Isaiah and I were at Tarry’s Hall (between Castlegar and Glade) for a Halloween Market!

October 29th a sighting of my book in the window of Urban Legends on Baker st in Nelson! Photo credits to my friend!

November 9th at Tarry’s Hall for a 1/2 days Christmas Market and Borscht Sale! About 30 vendors in a 2 story hall, there was lots of foot traffic and many stickers being purchased! I did 2 trades with Forage and Soothe! https://www.instagram.com/forageandsoothe?igsh=MTI1Njc1emxjaXZ3eQ==

November Catch Up

It was certainly a busy month so lets go through the highlights!

On November 9th my bear magnets and stickers came in! The Milky Way Bear magnet turned out a lot smaller than I expected but the design is still beautiful and the Grizzly Family sticker looks awesome!

On November 11th Honey Suckle Crafts https://www.instagram.com/honeysuckle_craftss?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== and I collaborated for a giveaway that ended on December 1st. Everything in the giveaway was a valued at $130.00 !
Items that are included:

In preparation of upcoming markets I took paper bags I had loose in my house and drew fun designs on them to be reused! I then forgot them at home…. But that just means I am extra prepared for my future markets.

On November 15th I completed a Commission! It’s a mix of Pokémon/ Magic the Gathering/ Naruto.

On November 16th my mom and I finally got around to taking nice pictures of my Seasons Greetings Cards!

November 19th I vended at the Royals Sunday Market https://www.theroyalnelson.com/events . This market I was up on the stage and I had enough space to have two tables set up and my easel! My boyfriend and friend helped me out and overall it was really fun!

November 21st I dropped by the Coop to leave some of my Milky Way Bears and Grizzly Family cards with The Ursa Project Society. They had a table set up as an info booth and to sell calendars, bags , cards and stickers.

On November 22nd I dropped off some books, cards, bookmarks, and stickers to https://www.asterandbliss.com/ on Consignment.

November 27th I sent some fan mail out! I found a really cool band called Lo & the High Road https://www.instagram.com/loandthehighroad?igsh=MzRlODBiNWFlZA== they have a song about Jackalopes so I messaged them and asked if I could send a Jackalope sticker!

❄️Christmas and Seasons Greetings Cards ❄️

This year I have eight card designs, five of which are from last year because I had lot’s of cards left over from last year. I have about the similar amount of cards with the exception of the Slug being the most popular last year and the Raccoons this year haven’t been touched yet!

I have new displays for the cards and while I will have a few pre made packs of cards in bundles of six and four. Most will be displayed as singles and I am letting my customers choose what they’d like in their bundles of six and four! (They all come with envelopes)

Which one is your favourite?
